Want to know how “potent” a product is? That’s where the Efficiency Score comes in.

The Efficiency Score shows you how packed a product is with proven active ingredients.

We don’t care about whether it’s natural, trendy, or expensive. We care about results. So we ask:

• ✅ Does this product include actives that have a clinically supported impact on skin?
• 🔼 Are those ingredients likely present in useful concentrations?
• 🧮 How many different beneficial actives are present?

It’s like looking at how “nutrient dense” your skincare is.

The more proven, high-quality ingredients in useful amounts, the higher the efficiency score.

📈 Interpreting the Score

The Efficiency Score is relative, just like our other scores. That means it tells you how a product performs compared to other products in the same category (e.g., moisturizers vs other moisturizers).

If a product scores:

• 90–100% → It’s among the most concentrated in actives for its category
• 50–70% → It has a decent level of actives
• 0–30% → It contains fewer or very low-concentration actives relative to others

⚠️ This does not mean low-score products are bad.

Sometimes less is more—especially for sensitive skin or supportive steps in your routine like cleansers or moisturizers that don’t need to be treatment-heavy.
